Clare Wright will represent Australian literature and history at the inaugural Neilson Hays Bangkok Literature Festival.

Just 12 percent of Nobel Prize winners in literature are female. For every female film character, there are 2.24 male characters. Women account for less than 7% of world leaders, and the UN reports a “serious regression” in the power of women across the world.
